Youth
skyhawks Basketball (ages 7–12)
This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressional curriculum, we focus on the whole player-teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense through skill-based instruction and small- sided scrimmages. Each child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.
Gear to bring: Appropriate clothing, water bottle and sneakers
Food to bring: 2 snacks & 2 water bottles

skyhawks sports and games camp for ages 7–12
Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe, and positive programs that emphasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for
an active, healthy lifestyle. For this camp, our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill-building games and activities to give each athlete a complete understanding and overview of many different popular sports and games. Sports and games include capture the flag, soccer, ultimate frisbee, kickball, baseball, 4-square, flag football, team handball, and many more! Each child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.

Beginner golf camp for ages 5–8
Skyhawks Beginning Golf is powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences, the recommended entry- level golf program for PGA Junior Golf Camps. The unique, games-based play program and modified learning equipment make it easier for kids to hit
the ball and expereience early success. Putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing are all taught through games, simple repetitive motions and learning rhymes that make it easy for young kids
to remember and repeat. Specially designed, age- appropriate golf equipment is provided. Each child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt. Gear to bring: Appropriate clothing, water bottle, sneakers, and sunscreen

karate (ages 7 and up)
Participants learn the traditional art of Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate. You will learn the basics
of Karate, blocking and striking, as it is still taught in Okinawa today. Students will also learn discipline, self-confidence, and how to defend themselves. The Beginner class (for ages 6–10) is for students with no previous training. The Advanced Karate class is for ages 10 and up. Class is done barefoot. Students should wear loose, comfortable clothing to class.

tennis lessons for ages 4–17
Quickstart Tennis (ages 4–13) is designed to
bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified games tailored to the age and size of the player. The High School program (ages 14–17) is designed for beginners to advanced players looking to play tennis or level up their game. Sneakers with non- marking soles required. Bring your own tennis racquet but some will be available to borrow, if needed. For more information, contact Miguel Garcia at the Tennis & Fitness Center of Rocky Hill at 860-563-8051.

Park & recreation team tennis
Park and Recreation Team Tennis (PRTT) is a recreational team tennis league designed to give kids the opportunity to play team tennis, learn skills associated with the sport, and develop sportsmanship and fair play. Participants will play in tournaments, jamboree style round robins. Dates of practices and tournaments are TBD. More details are to come. Please monitor our website frequently or contact Miguel Garcia at the Tennis & Fitness Center of Rocky Hill at 860-563-8051 for the latest information. This program is coordinated by USTA through our local Tennis Center.
Fee: $60 per participant
Pickleball clinics (ages 8–17)
Children will participate in a variety of fun pickleball games that will begin to create or continue a love for the game. Players will begin to learn rules and the scoring system of Pickleball
if they do not know already. They will learn the basics or work to improve on serving, ground strokes, volleying, and court positioning based on their previous ability level. They will begin to learn strategy and tactics for more competitive play if desired. The goal of this class will be to foster an early love for the amazing sport of Pickleball!
