Swim Team
The Rocky Hill Sea Lions Swim Team is a recreational team for ages 6–18. Participating in swim team promotes individual ability as well as team camaraderie. Practice is held Monday– Friday, and attending a minimum of 3 times/ week is recommended. Meets are typically held on weekends. All swimmers must attend swim meets to remain on the team. Due to the popularity of the team, we are giving returning swimmers their first chance to register. If, for any reason, your child is no longer able to make a meet or you need to get in touch with Head Coach Melisha, please contact her at 860-655-0246. For the latest team updates and information, please visit our website, which will be updated regularly throughout the season.
Minimum requirements: Must be able to swim 1 length of pool (75’) without stopping and dive into deep water. The swim team does not teach you how to swim. Swimmers should know the basics of freestyle and backstroke.
Returning swimmers should sign up BY September 18
New Rocky Hill swimmers can sign up starting September 21
New non-resident swimmers can sign up starting September 28.

The indoor pool is open to the public and located in Rocky Hill High School, 50 Chapin Avenue. The pool is 6 lanes, 75’ long with a
1 meter diving board, ranging in depth from 3.5’ to 12’. For the most up-to-date schedule check at the pool, on our web site, or call the Recreation office.
Pool Admission Fees:
Pool passes are available to Rocky Hill residents with proof of residency. Passes may be purchased at the pool or the Recreation Office. For the 26–27 indoor swim season, Newington and Wethersfield residents that hold a Newington or Wethersfield pool pass will also be able to swim at the Rocky Hill High School Pool during recreational swim or lap swim. Likewise, Rocky Hill residents that hold a Rocky Hill pool pass can use the Newington or Wethersfield High School Pools during their designated public swim hours.
Drop in Fees:
$5 for residents without pass, $8 for non-residents

Adult Swim Lessons
Adult drop in swim lessons will be held every Wednesday the pool is open. A member of
the lifeguard staff will work with you on your swimming skills. Learn the basic safety skills to more advanced techniques.

Time: 6:30–7:00pm

Fee: Free with pool admission admission ($5 for residents, $8 for non-residents)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED –
SEA CUBS SWIM PROGRAM!
Make a difference in the pool! We are looking for volunteers to serve as swim buddies for our Sea Cubs program, a structured swimming program for school-age children with special needs. Volunteers will work one-on-one with participants in the pool to help create a fun, supportive, and positive swimming experience. Volunteers must be able to swim and should be able to commit to most, if not all, Sunday sessions from January through March.
