Youth
Kid’s Sewing 101 (ages 8-13)
Kids will learn how to thread, operate and troubleshoot their sewing machines while creating whimsical weekly projects. Projects will include techniques like Hems, elastic application and French seams. Students must bring their own machine, thread and scissors. Fabric and notions materials will be provided. Two sewing machines are available to borrow during class. Please let Parks and Recreation know if you need one upon registration. Instructor: Miss Ashley

Pickleball Clinics (Ages 8–17)
Children will participate in a variety of fun pickleball games that will begin to create
or continue a love for the game. Players will begin to learn rules and the scoring system of Pickleball if they do not know already. They
will learn the basics or work to improve on serving, ground strokes, volleying, and court positioning based on their previous ability level. They will begin to learn strategy and tactics for more competitive play if desired. The goal of this class will be to foster an early love for the amazing sport of Pickleball!

   You’re never too young to become the next Broadway star! Participants in this program
are provided a great opportunity to get a taste of the acting life. You’re little one will have the opportunity to act, sing, dance, create sets and costumes through crafts and more! All of which followed by a final performance put on for our friends and families.

 Skyhawks Sports Academy provides sports programs where children discover and develop athletic skills and social values, such as teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. We offer children a positive sports experience while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
 Skyhawks Tennis Camps for ages 6–12
Grab your tennis racquet and get ready to play! Whether you’re a beginning, an intermediate, or an advanced player, this program will improve your game and help you get more enjoyment from tennis. Our tennis programs focus on skill refinement as well as practice and match play to develop consistent, well-rounded tennis players. Each player is given personal attention and taught through repetition in and enjoyable, lively atmosphere. Skyhawks Tennis breaks down the fundamental skills of tennis through easily understood games and exercises to
help improve the athlete’s overall coordination and technique. Players learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys, and serves during a series of drills designed to teach skills in a fun and dynamic way. In addition to developing a love for tennis, athletes will learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis such an exciting game to play. Due to limited court space, these programs fill quickly!

Skyhawks Mini-Hawk (Baseball, Basketball & Soccer) for ages 4–7
This multi-sport program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with encouragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace.

Skyhawks Volleyball Clinic for ages 10–14
Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. This program is designed for the beginning to intermediate player. Participants should bring a water bottle and wear appropriate athletic attire, sneakers, and knee pads.
