ART-ventures for Kids:
Artist’s Passport Travel the World Through Art (Grades K–5)
Kids take an around-the-world cultural adventure. They explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the city to the countryside. They experiment with Crayola products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. They make different masterpieces each week such as drums, masks, canvases, prints, buses, and more. Instructor: ART-ventures Staff

Mad Science – Science Surprise
(Grades K–5)
Children overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors, and most importantly, their minds. With a bit of ingenuity, they create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks, and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs.

Mad Science – Mad Medley (Grades K–5)
Explore inertia, gravity and centripetal
force with race cars and spinning bike wheels, ping-pong balls, and rubber band powered catapults. Learn about tension and compression, which shapes are strongest, make an earthquake proof building from toothpicks and marshmallows. Learn about flight and build the coolest paper airplanes! Guitar Lessons (Ages 6–11)
Group guitar lessons for the beginner with individual attention. Class will emphasize basic guitar fundamentals. Students will learn how to read music, play chords and use correct hand technique. Your own guitar is required. Prior to class the instructor can provide you with a referral on where to get one at a reasonable price. Instructor: Brian Hartley

Youth Starter Tennis Lessons (Ages 4–10)
Quickstart Tennis is designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified
games tailored to the age and size of the player. Sneakers with non-marking soles required. Equipment will be provided. For more information, contact the Tennis & Fitness Center at 860-563-8051.

American Sign Language for Kids
(ages 8–15)
Students will learn the ASL alphabet and corresponding words. Basic words and phrases such as colors, numbers, family members, etc. Students will be able to sign familiar words and short phrases at the end of the course. This class is fun and educational! Instructor: Connie Davids
