Create a Snow Globe
Friday, December 27 at 2:00pm
Ages 5 and up
Create a snow globe! Use a recycled glass jar, add a figurine, some snow and glitter and water and you can create your own snow globe. For families with children ages 5 and up. Register one slot per child planning to create a snow globe.
Furry Scaly Friends – Hands on Learning!
Monday, December 30 at 2:00pm
Ages 4 and up
Meet an amazing array of critters! Penelope the Pig, a cute prairie dog, a soft rabbit, captivating axolotl, pythons, and so many more unique reptiles, snakes, marsupials, arachnids, and exotic critters. This hands-on program offers a rare opportunity to interact with many of these fascinating creatures. It’s going to be a blast! For families with kids ages 5 and up. Registration required.
Take Your Child to the Library Day: Yo-Yo Show!
Saturday, February 1 at 2:00pm
Ages 4 and up
This is an interactive family comedy show featuring the “Yo-Yo Guy” John Higby. Watch as he performs amazing yo-yo tricks, including walking on a giant Yo-Yo. He has performed internationally and holds four Guinness World Records. Recommended for families with kids ages 4 and up. Registration begins December 23.

Live Hawks and a Peregrine
Saturday, March 8 at 2 pm
Ages 4 and up
What are the similarities between hawks and peregrines? Learn about birds of prey in our region with Blue Moon Raptors, a rescue
and rehab organization that will bring live ambassadors to show the similarities and differences. Recommended for families with children ages 4 and up. Registration required.

Come to the Preschool Expo 2025 to talk directly with a provider to find out more about their program structure, philosophy, tuition schedule, and more. Rocky Hill and surrounding community agencies and providers will be participating. Registration is required.
Behind the Scenes at the Bushnell
Wednesday, January 15 at 2:00pm
Trained volunteer tour guides from The Bushnell Theatre in Hartford will take us on a unique behind the scenes tour of the historic building. Don’t miss this special program! Registration is recommended.
Aging in Place:
How to Remain in Your Home
Tuesday, February 4 at 6:30pm
In this program, presented by the elder law
and estate planning firm Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri, we will help you better understand how to avoid putting your-hard earned assets at risk in a way that can best position you to stay in your own home and age in place. Specifically, you’ll learn about Medicaid and other public benefit programs the state has to offer as well as strategies that married or single people can use to protect their assets. Registration is required.
