to refine their strategies. Next Generation Chess believes that chess is for everyone!
Our dedicated team of experienced coaches is committed to fostering a love for the game in each and every member. Children entering our club will discover a captivating journey of intellectual growth and skill development. Our child-friendly curriculum is designed to
introduce the fundamentals of chess in a fun and interactive way, nurturing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Through engaging lessons, playful activities, and friendly competitions, young minds will flourish and form lifelong friendships. Join the fun today.

Beginner Class Time (No Elo or Elo below 400): 5:15–6:00pm
Intermediate Class Time (Elo 401 and above): 6:00–6:45pm

High School Pool Schedule - The indoor pool is open to the public and located in Rocky Hill High School, 50 Chapin Avenue. The pool is 6 lanes, 75’ long with a 1 meter diving board, ranging in depth from 3.5’ to 12’. For the most up-to-date schedule check at the pool, on our web site, or call the Recreation office.
Due to the high volume of usage between multiple entities and the unpredictability of the ever- changing schedules, we ask that you please visit us on our website for the most up-to-date pool schedule. Once on our webpage, simple click on “Programs” and then “Pool Information”, which will be located under “Aquatics”. The schedule will also be available to view at the pool. Thank you for your understanding.
American red Cross lifeguarding Course
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge
and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond
to aquatic emergencies, and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel takes over. This class takes place at the Rocky Hill High School Pool.
Prerequisites: You must be a proficient swimmer and be at least 15 years old by the final scheduled class. At the first class you must successfully complete 3 swim tests (300 yard continuous swim, treading water for 2 minutes, and a timed brick retrieval) to continue with
the course. If you are unable to complete the required swim test you will receive a full refund. Dates are TBD but expected to be in March and will be released at the beginning of 2024.

sea Cubs swim Club
Sea Cubs is a structured, school age swimming program for children with special needs. Volunteers will serve as buddies and work with the children in the pool. Parents/ guardian must remain in pool area during all swim sessions.
