Intro to Reiki (ages 18+)
Reiki is a holistic Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by laying on hands and can be easily learned by anyone. In working with the body’s energy system,
it can ease chronic pain, lessen anxiety and tension, decrease fatigue, strengthen the immune system, and reduce the effects of stress. Come and spend an evening with Reiki Master Teacher Maryann Lonergan to learn more about Reiki, what it is, how it works, and the benefits a Reiki treatment can provide. Maryann became interested in Reiki when she found it was beneficial to her Mom who had Alzheimer’s. Later, she spent several years as a Reiki Volunteer at Middlesex Hospital and saw the positive impact to the patients she visited. She currently owns Inner Balance Reiki in Rocky Hill where she sees clients and provides classes to those who want to learn Reiki. During this educational session attendees
will be able to ask questions and have an opportunity to experience a Reiki session. Instructor: Maryann Lonergan
