With your library card you can try one of our Great Courses or Universal Classes and discover a new passion or re-ignite an old one. Classes include money management, essential spices, photography, aromatherapy, landscaping and hundreds more! You can use one of our databases to

 summer kick-off Program:
hooked on llamas
Guess who is coming to visit the Cora J. Belden Library! A live llama! Celebrate the beginning of our summer reading program, Discover a New Adventure! Tails and Tales with Debbie Labbe from Country Quilt Llama Farm and her llama. In this fun and informative program you will enjoy a cute story, learn about llamas and pet one too! Date: Saturday, June 19

Learn to cook grilled shrimp with feta cheese, tomato and orzo salad, jerk grilled chicken with a watermelon fire and ice salsa and summertime red, white and blueberry shortcake cake.
Tuesday, July 13, 7:00pm
Learn to cook zucchini tacos with a grilled corn salsa, balsamic and rosemary grilled chicken with local farm tomato and blue cheese relish and swirled blueberry crumb cake Ice cream.
Monday, August 9, 7:00pm
Learn to make a brookie-a half brownie and half cookie dough treat. It’s a great cookie!
teddy Bear Picnics
Bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal and a blanket or chair to sit on. Enjoy the fresh air outside as you listen to stories, sing songs, learn some rhymes, and dance to music.
Day/Time: Thursdays in June at 11:00am
Music and Movement outdoors
Move to the music, hear a story and practice rhythms with rhymes. Music helps strengthen children’s listening skills and phonological awareness- the ability to hear the sounds in words of a spoken language. Come join the fun as we boogie and then end with a quieter lullaby to get kids ready for bed. Day/Time: Mondays in June at 6:30pm
PJ storytime on the lawn
Listen to stories, dance to some songs, wiggle with rhymes and then sing a lullaby to get ready for bedtime. Bring a blanket to sit on the lawn. Day/Time: Mondays in July, 6:30pm
steAM Programs
Computer Science for Kids! Join us on Zoom as we discover the FUNdamentals of computer science. We will cover basic coding concepts using block coding with fun, interactive online activities, including sequencing, loops, and events. Lessons include Programming with Angry Birds, A Royal Battle, Looking Ahead with Minecraft, Building a Flappy Game and more.
Day/Time: Tuesdays in July and August at 2:00pm on Zoom

Join us for some fun, educational and interactive virtual programs that will get you designing and coding in no time! Programs include 3D Printing and Design, and Simple Website Design with HTML.
