Aquatics
sea lions swim team
The Rocky Hill Sea Lions Swim Team is a recreational team for ages 6–18. Participating in swim team promotes individual ability as well as team camaraderie. Practice is held Monday– Friday, and attending a minimum of 3 times/ week is recommended. Meets are typically held in the evenings in July, but there may be no meets this season due to COVID-19. All CDC and State COVID-19 guidelines and regulations that are in effect at the time of the program will be followed and enforced. Participants will be informed of the latest guidelines shortly before the start of the season. All guidelines are fluid and subject to change at any time.
Minimum requirements: Must be able to swim
1 length of pool (75’) without stopping and dive into deep water. Swim team does not teach you how to swim. Swimmer should know basics of front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. Coaches: Melisha DeMaio and Mark Catania

Dates: May 24–July 30
Time: 5:00–6:30pm through July 2; starting July 6 practice will be held M-W-F 4:00–5:30pm; T-TH 4:30–6:00pm

Fee: $165 for residents and $205 for non- residents ($20 discount for additional children)
lifeguarding course
(for ages 15 and up)
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies, and be able to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illness until EMS personnel take over. The course length is approximately 30 hours.
Prerequisites: You must be a strong swimmer and at least 15 years old by the final class. You must successfully complete 3 swim tests at the pre-course session to continue with the course. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.

elm ridge outdoor Pool
The outdoor pool is located in Elm Ridge Park on Elm Street. The main pool is 6 lanes wide and the depth ranges from 3’ to 8’. No diving
is allowed. The wading pool is for ages 5 and under and is 1’ deep. The pool is open 7 days/ week in the summer. Pool hours are subject to change at any time due to COVID protocols and regulations.
high school Pool
The indoor pool is open to the public and located in Rocky Hill High School. The pool is 6 lanes, 75’ long with a 1 meter diving board. The shallow end is 3.5’ deep. Pool hours are subject to change at any time due to COVID protocols and regulations.

Pool Admission Fees: Pool passes are available to Rocky Hill residents with proof of residency.
Pass fees for residents: Six-month family $40; six-month individual (18 and up) $25, valid 6/25/2021–12/31/21. Family passes are for up to 6 people at the same address; $5 each for each additional family member. Resident senior citizens (age 55 and up) are entitled to a free pool pass. Replacement passes are $25 and must be purchased at the Recreation Office.
Daily drop in fees: $3 for residents without pass, $7 for non residents.
Pool locations: Rocky Hill High School Pool (50 Chapin Avenue) and Elm Ridge Outdoor Pool (Elm Ridge Park, Elm Street)

Residents Fee: 10 classes – $35 with a pool pass or $45 without a pool pass
9 classes – $32 with a pool pass or $41 without a pool pass
8 classes – $28 with a pool pass or $36 without a pool pass
Non-residents Fee: $90 - Not eligible for
pool pass. Registration starts June 1, pending available spaces.
