Catherine will focus more specifically on considerations for where you will live as you get into your mid 80s and beyond. In these later years we find that most people need to depend on other types of support in their daily lives. Special considerations need to be taken when we choose the right living arrangements to match our needs.

The Council of Financial Educators (COFE) will present an educational workshop on Social Security. Learn how to make the right choices for you and your retirement before fling for Social Security benefits. Program is free but pre-registration is required.
your Brain on Music
Thursday, May 8, 3:00–4:30pm
Patty O’Brian, CDP, Hartford Healthcare Center for Aging will show us how music provides a total brain workout. Listening can reduce blood pressure and pain. Listening can improve: sleep quality, mood, mental alertness and memory. Is music good for the brain...the simple answer is YES!!!
Aging well series:
The seminar series, presented by members of the Connecticut Care Planning Council, is designed to be interactive and informative, with each presentation lasting about 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. The overarching goal of these presentations is to educate the community on various aspects of aging well. The Council believes that understanding the
challenges and options available is crucial and underlines the importance of expert- guided knowledge in successfully navigating the complexities of aging. Light dinner will be provided, and registration is required for this complimentary series. You may register for individual topics or the entire series. Space is limited.

Denise F. Talbot from All Ages Care Management, LLC is the presenter for this session. Long-term care, whether provided at home or in a multi-care facility is a byzantine labyrinth. This presentation covers what a care manager does and how they use their vast knowledge, experience, and resources to help families plan and solve a multitude of problems. Care managers work with families to help prepare and better understand the changes their loved ones may experience.

vocal music. The dance program includes traditional dance, folk dance, as well as dance of ethnic minority groups.
