mission Statement
The mission of Rocky Hill Human, Youth & Senior Services Department is to assist residents with social, emotional, and economic needs. Our services help clients achieve self-sufficiency, maintain economic well-being and reestablish control in their lives. We service all segments of the population which include children, adults, elderly, disabled and the financially disadvantaged.

food Pantry
A food pantry is maintained for disadvantaged residents. Donations from various stores, organizations, churches, community groups, and individuals provide the supply for the pantry. A variety of nonperishable food items are available for qualified residents. For an appointment to see if you qualify please contact the Human Services Case Manager at 860-258-2799.
energy Assistance
Energy assistance clients may receive financial assistance for their primary source of heat, assistance is available for clients who meet income and asset eligibility guidelines. Energy Assistance appointments are generally available August through May depending on your heating source. Please contact Community Renewal Teams at 860-560-5800 to set up an appointment. Operation Fuel provides a one-time grant of up to $500.00 to assist families with their energy bills. Operation Fuel is energy blind, meaning they assist with all energy types – oil, electric, natural gas, kerosene, wood, propane, pellets, and other energy sources. If your grant is
being applied to an electric or gas utility bill, Operation Fuel’s grant can be used to prevent a shutoff or restore utility service. Operation Fuel has a varying schedule for when they process applications, please contact the Human Services Case Manager at 860-258-2799 for availability and/ or an appointment. For emergency appointments/shut offs please contact the Human Services Case Manager at 860-258-2799.
volunteer care teams
Volunteer services are available to eligible residents who need temporary assistance with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, friendly visits, friendly check-ins, errands etc. Please call us to sign up for any of these services.
Also, we are always looking for people willing to help others in our community. Please give us a call if you are interested in volunteering.
