Brazilian Dancing Martial Arts –
for ages 5–13
Capoeira (pronounced cap-o-wed-a) is an art of self-defense that is hidden in dance and played as a game inside a circle with live music and songs. Capoeira has a rich and important history and is enjoyed as a beautiful “dance.” It develops strong, agile muscles, brings people together and invites people to express themselves. It provides health benefits, enhances self-esteem and reduces stress. Class is done barefoot and loose clothing should be worn.

Little Layups – Junior Basketball Clinics (Girls in grades 1–4)
Long-time Rocky Hill Basketball Coach, Brian Silkowski, is offering this educational and FUN basketball program for young girls currently residing in Rocky Hill. Coach Silkowski has been a coach with Travel Basketball and the Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball League for eight years. He has also coached AAU
for the last 4. This program will provide a fun environment where young girls can continue
to reinforce their understanding of the rules
and practice fundamentals of basketball.
Our ultimate goal is to help increase interest
in the sport at a younger age. This will be accomplished by teaching kids the basics of the game and providing a structured environment for them to learn and practice with their
peers and future teammates! This program is recommended for girls that have already taken part in Little Layups or that already have some experience with the basics of the sport (e.g. dribbling, passing, etc.). Depending on CDC and State guidelines at the time, participants will likely be expected to wear a mask during the entire program. Mask breaks will be provided. instructor: Brian Silkowski
