 Parks & Recreation
Letter from the Director of Parks & Recreation
Greetings Rocky Hill Residents!
This past summer was a huge success for the Rocky Hill Parks & Recreation Department. It felt so great to have our camps running at full capacity, pools being occupied by our families, and to see our usual concert goers listening to tunes on a Tuesday summer night. As we push towards the fall season, we have something else to look forward to...the grand opening of the new Senior/Community Center on our town hall campus, tentatively scheduled for October 2nd!
Located in the new building is a three section multi-purpose room, classroom activity room, arts & crafts studio, dance/exercise studio, fitness room, café, games room, gymnasium, as well as the new classroom housing our Learning Tree Preschool! Did I miss anything? Oh yes I did. Our office has officially moved to the office suite occupying the Senior/Community Center so you can find us in the heart of the action. We also have new office mates – Senior Transportation/Volunteer Coordinator Charlene Mehr and NEW Director of Senior Services Gina Marino. Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for programming needs for all ages in the town of Rocky Hill.
We look forward to seeing all of you in person in the near future!
Happy Fall,
Craig A. Bowman, CPRP Director of Parks & Recreation
