Binocular Stargazing Class:
Your binoculars can be a great grab-and-go stargazing tool! Bring your binoculars (or use mine) and we’ll learn how to use them to view planets, galaxies, star clusters, and nebulas! Find out which apps and publications
are geared specifically towards binocular stargazing. Course includes outdoor viewing, weather permitting.

Cosomology:
Come learn about the fascinating birth, life cycle, and future of the universe. From its first turbulent seconds born in unimaginable temperatures and density, to the creation
of stars and galaxies, this course presents the universe as a single dynamic organism complete with birth, a childhood, a middle age, and (eventually) retirement and old age.
You’ll never look at the night sky the same way again!.

Sewing Classes with Miss Ashley
Looking to take up a useful new hobby? These family-friendly classes are offered
to both children and adults! Learn a new
skill today while taking home your very own project! Open workshop for all ages! Students must bring their own machines and materials! Location: Community Center Arts and Crafts Room

Dates: Saturdays, 10/3, 11/21, 12/5, 12/19 Time: 9:00–10:30am
Fee: $30 per participant, per class
Karate
Learn the traditional art of Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate. You will learn the basics of Karate, block and striking, as it is still
taught in Okinawa today. Students will learn discipline, self confidence and how to defend themselves. The Beginner class (for ages 7–10) is for students with no previous training. The Advanced Karate class is for ages 10 and up. Class is done barefoot. New students: wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Instructor: Master Sensei Peter Pekrul, 10th degree black belt
Location: Community Center Gymnasium Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Dates: September 22–December 3
(19 classes, no class, 11/3, 11/24 and 11/26) Time: Beginner (ages 7–10) 5:30–6:30pm; Advanced (ages 10 & up) 6:30–7:30pm Fee: $95 residents, $105 non-residents
